Directions:
From the north: 1-77/81-off Exit 70- take 4th street south into town. Stay straight until you get to downtown, at Main Street, turn right. You will stay on this road which becomes 21 S. for approx 8 miles. Take a left on Cripple Creek Road, this is also Rte 690 and there is a tiny store called Stoots on your left. Make the second right, approx 2 miles, and you will turn left onto Matney Flats Rd. We are 3.5 miles down at the end of the road. The first part of the road is bumpy due to logging but improves greatly, so keep coming. When you get to the gate which says Private Property you will have two miles to go.
Off Exit 73-. Take the ramp into down this becomes Main Street. You will follow this approx 10 miles through town. Take a left on Cripple Creek Road, this is also Rte 690 and there is a tiny store called Stoots on your left. Make the second right, approx 2 miles, and you will turn left onto Matney Flats Rd. We are 3.5 miles down at the end of the road. The first part of the road is bumpy due to logging but improves greatly, so keep coming. When you get to the gate which says Private Property you will have two miles to go.
From the south: Off 21N approx 5 miles north of Speedwell take a right onto Cripple Creek Rd. there is a store called Stoots at the intersection.Take Cripple Creek for two miles ( also the second left) and turn onto Matney Flats Rd. We are 3.5 miles down at the end of the road. The first part of the road is bumpy due to logging but improves greatly, so keep coming. When you get to the gate which says Private Property you will have two miles to go.
Off 1-77- Take Exit 24, Popular Camp exit. Take a left off the ramp and go 4 miles through Austinville. You will go over Lead Mines Bridge and make a left ( you have a choice of left or right) , stay on this road for 4 miles. You will come to a large intersection - stay straight and go for another 10 miles. You will make NO turns but the road will meander and change names, stay on the main road ( the road will change from Austinville, to Huddle ,to Slate Spring Branch and then to Cripple Creek. Once you pass Rosenbaum Chapel watch for the second right. Turn right onto Matney Flats Rd. we are 3.5 miles down at the end.
